Real Estate Brokerage (SAE) - Course #751

Time limit: 45 days
30 credits

$125 Enroll

Full course description

This course is designed to educate and prepare real estate professionals how to establish a brokerage from the ground up.  Since operating a brokerage is more than just real estate sales, we cover topics related to locating and designing your office, operating within the laws and guidelines of government agencies, and marketing and managing your business in order to achieve a successful income stream.  The course also addresses the skills necessary to manage employees and equip sponsored sales agents to maximize production and income.

We will cover all of the topics required by the Texas Real Estate Commission to meet the 30-hour prerequisite Broker Course for taking the Broker exam.  A complete list of education requirements to become a real estate broker is available on TREC's website at https://www.trec.texas.gov/become-licensed/individual-real-estate-broker

Effective October 1, 2023, this course will also be a required/mandatory course for sales agents under SAE requirements. Please contact Pioneer School of Real Estate with any questions regarding this upcoming change.

The content is organized in an easy to follow format, supported by scenario exercises to reinforce understanding of the subject matter presented in the course. Scenario exercises include completing business planning templates for use in real world financial, marketing, and business planning models.

Attendance Requirements, Course Content, and Testing

Each course has a required number of hours that must be completed before credit for the course will be given.  The number of required hours is indicated by the number of credits assigned to each course in the online course catalog where the student registers.  You must complete all course material in a unit and all assignments before progressing to the next unit.  Students may only be given credit for up to 12 hours of course time per day. As a result, you will not be given credit for a 30-hour course in less than three days (72 hours) from the time the course is started and not from the registration date of the course.  After 2 failed exam attempts, you must repeat the course in its entirety. The fee for retaking a course is $50.  Course retakes must be registered for within 30 days of the 2nd failed attempt.  Mandatory CE courses (Legal Update I and II, Broker Responsibility) require a proctored exam but do not have to meet a minimum score.  Elective CE courses do not include a final exam.

Final exams are closed book and are proctored by Pioneer’s online proctor service.  There is no fee for taking the proctored exams.  Exams can be scheduled by submitting a completed Proctor and Student Affidavit form to the instructor.  There is no fee if an exam has to be rescheduled.  All final exams must be completed before the course expiration date.

Additional Policies and Best Practices
